How to: Dress for the Airport

I always find selecting an outfit to wear to the airport difficult, especially when coordinating it with how you packs. Hopefully, these guidelines will help you pick your look for any upcoming trips!

1. Wear your bulkiest shoes. Especially if you are like me and tend to shop a bit too much and therefore make your suitcase nearly impossible to zip on the trip home. This way you don't have to worry about stuffing them into said overly crammed luggage. And hopefully, these shoes have a bit of support as you could be walking a long way between terminals.

2. Layer. First of all, this can lessen your load to pack. But even more so, it will prepare you for any temperature as you could be switching climates as you travel. And I know that I always find a way to freeze on the plane, so I like to keep a jacket handy.

3. Go for comfort. While I still encourage everyone to look atleast someone put together, you may have a long flight and don't want any super stiff garments keeping you from those few hours of rest. 

4. Skip the contacts. This one may not apply to everyone, but I find that airplanes always leave my eyes extremely dry. Therefore, I opt for glasses for the flight but keep my lenses in my purse to throw in upon arrival.

5. Go easy on the jewelry. While it may be daunting to pack, you do not want to be that person in the security that has to go through the metal detectors a million times because their various jewelry items keep alerting it.

For this look, I went with a sporty tee, distressed denim, a leather jacket, and sneakers. These are just a few tips I have learned on my various travels. Hope they can be of use!
